2017-03-11

On Saturday, March 11, Muslim male youth from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association ( AMYA ) USA will hold the inaugural "National #MeetAMuslim Day." AMYA USA participants from at least 50 cities and 120 locations will stand in public spaces holding signs stating "I'm a Muslim, ask me anything" and "Meet a Muslim."

"Pew reports that 62% of Americans don't know a Muslim," said Dr. Bilal Rana, President of AMYA USA, "and our #MeetAMuslim campaign strives to change this by getting out in our local communities and answering questions people have about Islam. Our youth are working to actively promote peace and dialogue, and to clarify misconceptions about Islam and Muslims."

AMYA USA's national leadership and local participants across 50 cities are available for interviews. Follow the campaign online at #MeetAMuslim. For more information, including specific #MeetAMuslim event times and locations, visit Article Link Here .
