Thousand Waves Martial Arts and Self-Defense Center kicks off a year of events marking the 30th anniversary of its founding with a conversation with Nancy Lanoue and Sarah Ludden about the feminist roots of their own martial arts and self-defense practices, and how that blossomed into the founding and evolution of Thousand Waves. The event is February 4, from 7:45 to 9:30 at 1220 W Belmont, and is free and open to the public.
