AIDS Foundation of Chicago's ( AFC's ) "Gala35"marking its 35th anniversarywill be a virtual event taking place Thursday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m.
Gala35 marks the organization's 35th year of service and will be its premier gathering of AFC supporters. The organization will look back on the history of AFC while also looking forward to the future: the achievement of Getting to Zero Illinois. This ambitious, community-built plan aims to end new cases of HIV in our state by 2030 and connect all Illinoisans living with HIV/AIDS to robust healthcare services.
Also, AFC will honor Fred Eychaner, with the Civic Leadership Award; Dr. Toyin Falusi ( Adeyemi ), with the Community Impact Award; Martin Cournane, with the Lori Kaufman Volunteer Award; and Walgreens with the Corporate Leadership Award.
