The Chicago Red Stars fell to the Washington Spirit 2-1 in their NWSL Fall Series opening match.
Chicago's lone goal came from Sarah Luebbert, who would score her first professional goal. The former University of Missouri Tiger scored 29 career goals while at the school, making her one of nine players to score at least 21 goals in their career at the program.
The Red Stars return home to play at Seatgeek Stadium for the first time in 2020 when they face Sky Blue FC on Sunday, Sept. 20. Game time is at 1 p.m. CT on CBS All-Access.
