Youth Empowerment Performance Project ( YEPP ) will hold its inaugural fall fundraiser, "Rise Up: A Celebration of Resilience" Wed., Nov. 13, 6-9 p.m., at Chicago Theater Works, 1113 W. Belmont Ave.
At the event, YEPP will recognize the Transgender Day of Remembrance by naming and honoring those trans lives that were taken this year and celebrating the resilience of our trans and gender nonconforming youth. November also marks National Runaway and Homeless Youth, and "Rise Up" will acknowledge and call attention to the epidemic of youth homelessness that disproportionately impacts so many of our LGBTQ+ youth.
The evening will be largely curated by YEPP ensemble members, and will feature performances, food, a photo booth, a DJ and a cash bar.
Admission is $125 each; visit WeSayYEPP.com or email Info@WeSayYEPP.com .
