Chicago Public Library's Pride Heritage Committee and Brave Space Alliance will present "LGBTQ Activism's Past, Present and Future in Chicago" on Saturday, Oct. 12, 3-4:30 p.m., at the Chicago Public Library's Woodson Regional branch, 9525 S. Halsted St.
This event will be a panel discussion around LGBTQ activism in Chicago, with a special focus on the work and stories of Black trans people, trans people of color and LGBTQ immigrants, refugees and incarcerated people.
Panelists will include community educator/advocate Tania Cordova, activist/author/Chicago House TransSafe Coordinator Reyna Ortiz and Brave Space Alliance Executive Director LaSaia Wade. Pride Action Tank Executive Director Kim Hunt will moderate the panel.
