Author, sex-advice columnist, podcaster, pundit, public speaker and It Gets Better co-founder Dan Savage will bring his famous column to Chicago when "Savage Love Live" takes place at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m.
Savage, who's openly gay and from Chicago, is a regular contributor to public radio's This American Life and a frequent guest on MSNBC, CNN, Real Time with Bill Maher and other programs.
"Savage Love," his sex-advice column, first appeared in the The Stranger, Seattle's alternative weekly, in 1991; the column is now syndicated to more than 50 papers across the United States and Canada. In 2006, Savage launched the Savage Lovecasta weekly, call-in advice podcast.
Comedian Emily Galati will be a special guest. She has performed stand-up on Conan, NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comic's Unleashed, Laughs and Gotham Live.
