A celebration of Tracy Baim's 35th Anniversary in LGBTQ Media, hosted by Sharon Mylrea and a team of co-hosts, will raise funds for Windy City Times. The event will be Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Sidetrack The Video Bar. A VIP reception begins at 5 p.m.

Chicago-based NPR journalist Cheryl Corley will interview Baim live during the event, and there will be 1980s LGBTQ media memorabilia on display.

Baim started her work as a journalist in May of 1984 at GayLife newspaper, going on to co-found Windy City Times in 1985. In this changing media landscape, it's important to support community media. Funds raised will go to funding LGBT journalists at Windy City Times.

VIP tickets are $100, regular tickets $75.
