The Gay Liberation Network will host a 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4th fundraiser for the legal defense fund of Trans whistle-blower Chelsea Manning at the home of GLN co-founder Andy Thayer and his husband, Aldo P. Hernandez, at the apartment at 4835 N. Kenmore Ave., #2, Chicago.

Manning is admired by many LGBTs and anti-war activists for courageously exposing U.S. war crimes by both Democratic and Republican administrations around the globe — including U.S. soldiers' murders of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, support for torture, and coup d'etats.

Suggested donation is $25 ( more if you can less if you can't ), with all proceeds going to the Chelsea Manning Defense Fund.

Recently the Trump administration sent Ms. Manning back to jail for refusing to answer questions before a grand jury investigating WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange.

As she was being taken back into custody on March 8, Chelsea said,

"I will not participate in a secret process that I morally object to, particularly one that has been historically used to entrap and persecute activists for protected political speech."
