The Indivisible Aurora organization, which last year organizing that city's first Pride Paradeand which last week abruptly cancelled the 2019 parade, citing lack of fundswill hold this year's parade after all if they can raise needed funds, totaling some $17,000, Chicago Tribune reported.
Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin provided an update on the situation at an April 16 briefing. Indivisible Aurora was faced with new costs in 2019 thanks to a special events ordinance forcing parade sponsors to cover security and other costs.
