Two-time The Moth GrandSLAM winner Archy Jamjun premieres his debut one man show, A Boy & A Diva, Jan. 18 and 25, as part of Chicago's premiere storytelling festival Fillet of Solo presented by Lifeline Theatre.
Since 2014, Archy Jamjun has appeared in over 100 live-lit and theater productions across Chicago including appearances at Steppenwolf Theater, The Laugh Factory, and the national podcast RISK!. Working with director Stephanie Rogers, the creator and producer of STORYJAM, and actress & vocalist Shannon Wright, "A Boy & A Diva" depicts Jamjun's childhood and coming out as the son of an immigrant family.
Audiences can expect a mix of comedy and fantasy mixed into the true-to-life narrative. Jamjun was the winner of the 42nd annual Chicago's Biggest Liar's Contest and has been published by The Rumpus and Barrelhouse. He is also the curator of OUTspoken at Sidetrack.
Single tickets are $10 and festival passes are $50. Fillet of Solo runs from Jan. 18 until Feb. 3 at the Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood, and the Heartland Studio, 7006 N. Glenwood.
