Think Don Quixote, and most invariably think one of a ziggitygillion crooners going for the money notes in "The Impossible Dream." If you have a memory for Lit 101, you may also picture a guy with a vaguely Ren Fairish aesthetic galloping after windmills. This is not that Don Quixote. It is instead the Ballet Nacional de Philharmonic, dancing to the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra's rendition of Ludwig Minkus' fireball score. Choreographed by Marius Petipa ( The Nutcracker ), the tale of an unlikely hero takes on fresh luminosity, sometimes literally ( see Aldonza's blazing crimson frock ). The show runs May 18-20 at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress Pkwy.; visit AuditoriumTheatre.org/shows/cuba-don-quixote.
