Two projects of lesbian-owned tello Films nominated for honors

Nashville, TN ( September 20, 2017 ) — Lesbian-owned filmed production company, tello Films recently received news that two of their projects have been nominated for International Academy of Web Television ( IAWTV ) Awards.

Maybelle received a nomination for Best Writing ( Bridget McManus ) for a drama and Best Original Song ( Karman Kregloe ). After the death of her mother, 35-year old Maybelle Garris must learn to live for herself, as a gay women in the south, who's still in love with her best friend from High School.

Riley Parra was nominated for Best Sound. Riley Parra, which was modeled after a series of books about a detective struggling to do the right thing in a corrupt department, who discovers a war between angels and demons is being waged in her city and she's the only chance the good side has of winning. Episode 1 was released on August 20 and the company released a new episode each Sunday leading up to the series finale this weekend on Sept. 24.
