The Chicago Home Theater Festival will take place through May 29 in various spots around the city.
Some of the featured artists will include xicana cultural producer Afr@cubarican DJ and performance artist Jacquelyn Carmen Guerrero ( CQQCHIFRUIT ), transfeminine dance artist Darling Shear and Surviving the Mic Executive Director Nikki Patin.
International women's-rights advocate Bernardine Dohrn and writer and activist Bill Ayers ( Kenwood ); queer Black scholar and author E. Patrick Johnson ( Bronzeville ); and cultural producers Elijah McKinnon and Kristen Kaza ( Humboldt Park ) are some of the 2017 hosts.
All events begin with a tour from a designated CTA bus stop to the home. More information is provided upon purchase of a ticket.
