Bring in Da Funk celebrates Illinois Safe Schools Alliance's 10th Night of Noise
From a press release
2017-03-23

Each year, students all across the country participate in an annual protest to call attention to the silence LGBTQ+ youth endure. A lasting legacy from the merging of the Coalition for Education on Sexual Orientation ( CESO ) and GLSEN Chicago, Day of Silence is one of Illinois Safe Schools Alliance's largest annual youth events. Thousands of pins, shirts, and posters have been sent to students in Illinois GSAs to support their organizing work.

Being silent for a day isn't easy. So, for 10 years, the Alliance has organized Nights of Noise to break the silence and celebrate the resilience of LGBTQ+ youth. This year, Night of Noise, Break the Silence event is also the kick off event for the 10th Anniversary Celebrations.
