The Youth Pride Center ( YPC ) has announced the grand opening of YPC Entertainment, a state-of-the-art multimedia and recording studio for Chicago's LGBT youth under the age of 23.
In conjunction with After School Matters and Benchmark Studio, the studio, 345 N. Loomis provides the many free services/classes ( in such subjects as photography, music recording/production and typography ) to LGBT youth every Thursday, beginning Oct. 5, 4-6:30 p.m.
According to YPC founder Frank Walker, 'YPC Entertainment will allow any and all gay and lesbian youth in the city to get free studio time, take classes, use state-of-the-art equipment and attend field trips.'
Youth are encouraged to sign up at the YPC, 637 S. Dearborn, to get free memberships. Memberships are required to get free studio time, however is not required to take classes and trainings.
