Riva Lehrer will be sharing excerpts from her memoir-in-progress ?Golem Girl Gets Lucky.? Riva is best known as a portrait artist, curator, and educator. Her work focuses on issues of physical identity and the socially challenged body.
Sarah Michael Hollenbeck will be reading from her essay ?A Goldmine,? which compares and contrasts her experience of disability with that of local playwright and educator Todd Bauer. Sarah is a writer and storyteller, as well as the new co-owner of Women & Children First Bookstore. Todd will respond to Sarah?s essay after her reading.
