Goths R Us

Dying to get something cool for Christmas? How about a custom coffin? The fine folks at CoffinItUp.com have put together a goth shopping paradise. As you probably guessed from the name, these folks do coffins: people coffins, pet coffins, coffin luggage, coffins purses, coffin cabinetry, coffin jewelry....
you get the picture. Oh yeah, they do painted saw blades too. You know, the kind you see next to the clocks made from tree trunk slices on craft day down at the mall? I bet you can't guess what they paint on them.

I don't have a freakin' idea what the site says. It's put together in such a way that I can't even get Google's goofy autotranslation to give its normally amusing read. I believe they sell you pictures of Saints and Popes to use as backgrounds on cell phones. That, or it's some kind of oddball phone sex line.

ThinkGeek is officially one of the preferred vendors of WWWeird. ( We also give high marks to ArchieMcPhee and Stupid.com . ) Where else will you find T-shirts that light up in response to the strength of available WiFi signal? Or umbrellas whose handles pulse with glowing LED-goodness to let you know that it's going to rain and you should take them with? Just about everything here either takes batteries or has to be plugged in and, quite frankly, that's how life should be.

Facebook is ready to sell you virtual gifts. For $1 you can buy these little icons to give to your friends. Some are even limited editions and as such will surely escalate in value over time. Ummmm, right. Of course, if this catches on, then soon we'll have virtual regifting, and virtual thrift shops.
