August 8, 2008 - Windy City Times announces the newspaper's sixth annual theater subscription series with two Chicago premieres and three Tony Award-winning shows.
A yearly sold-out event, the WCT Theater Series gives subscribers a chance to enjoy diverse shows with terrific seats at Chicago's top theaters, all while enjoying the social aspect of going to the theater. 'This year we are excited to have the hilarious and highly anticipated XANADU as part of our series,' said Windy City staffer and theater series founder Amy Matheny. 'Plus a One Night Only event at Steppenwolf with Sandra Bernhard accompanied by a party. And provocative fare up in Glencoe with THE MAIDS then escorting them to hear one of Chicago's premiere leading ladies, Hollis Resnik in GREY GARDENS – all for about $30 a ticket.'
The 2008-2009 series consists of eight shows with a special live performance by Sandra Bernhard at the Steppenwolf Theatre. The 2008-2009 Windy City Times Theatre series includes:
