Windy City Gay Idol Finals approach
2004-06-09

As we rapidly approach the semi-finals, this Saturday night at The Eagle, Nightspots would like to take some time to give honorable mention to a few contestants of this year's Windy City Gay Idol. Though they gave it their all at many preliminary rounds throughout the city and suburbs and never secured their place in the final rounds, they have won a place in our hearts.

Unfortunately, our hearts aren't paying out over $3,000 in cash and prizes.

Oh well, better luck next year!

FRANK (pics 1-3)

A hometown favorite of the Creaoke circuit, Frank wowed them week after week,

establishing himself as 'the proudest Mary' out there.

LORALEI (pics 4-6)

She jingled and jangled her way to the top, always in just the right shoes—an important part of the competition.

RON (pics 7-9)

A jack of several trades, Ron was always a surprise. Will he be in a cape? Will he play the flute? One never knew what to expect.

JEFF

A true 'karma chameleon,' Jeff won them over with a

winning smile and a

determination that just

wouldn't quit.
