The winners of the recent Windy City Media Group Facebook context have been announced. Winners were drawn at random from the followers of WCMG on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/windycitymediagroup.
First-place winner was Anthony Galloway. He won $500 cash and selected the Chicago Black Gay Men's Caucus ( CBGMC ) as the agency to receive $5,000 in advertising in WCMG products. Second-place winner was Maura Ross. She won $250 and the agency she selected to receive $2,500 in advertising is Center on Halsted.
Galloway is an independent public health consultant. He has worked with community-based organizations across the country in implementing evidence-based behavioral community level interventions. He is the newly elected co-chair of CBGMC, alongside Keith R. Green. Galloway chose CBGMC as his charity of choice for two main reasons: the desire of the organization to build a healthy and strong community of Black gay men, and his aspiration to live in a world free of all "isms".
Maura Ross works as the community and cultural program coordinator at Center on Halsted. She helps plan and facilitate events such as recreation classes, art gallery openings, and the Center's OUT Series. She is a Chicago native and graduated from Northwestern University in June 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies and Art History.
