Sept. 20 rally to support Clinton
On Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m., U.S. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky is hosting a rally in support of Hillary Clinton at Studio Paris, 59 W. Hubbard St.
Clinton is not slated to attend.
Others scheduled to be there include state Sen. Heather Steans, state Rep. Kelly Cassidy, Commissioner Debra Shore, Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer, state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, state Rep. Laura Fine, former state Sen. Carol Ronen and others.

DIFFA's 'Light the Night' Sept. 9
The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS/Chicago ( DIFFA/Chicago ) Auxiliary Board will be hosting its inaugural Light The Night White Party on Wed., Sept. 9, at Sterling Bay, 111 N. Canal St.
The-first-of-its-kind event will attract design and business professionals to come dressed in their finest white attire to illuminate the rooftop setting and spotlight the organization's goal of eradicating HIV/AIDS.
There will be an evening of cocktails, light bites and dancing as well as a live performance from Simple Remedy.

Victory Fund's 'Windy City Toasts' Sept. 27
The Victory Fund will host "Windy City Toasts" Sunday, Sept. 27, at Ignite Glass Studios, 401 N. Armour St.
The organization's new president and CEO, Aisha Moodie-Mills, will attend as attendees toast "victory for all." The Victory Fund helps LGBT individuals in their political races.

LGBTQ health symposium Oct. 2
Howard Brown Health Center and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center will present the Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium Friday, Oct. 2, at Advocate's Olson Auditorium, 836 W. Wellington Ave.
Health-care professionals will learn about LGBTQ health-care best practices and challenges. Among the topics that will be discussed are LGBTQ health disparities, advances practices in HIV care, transgender health and hormone replacement therapy, and surgical solutions.

EXPO Chicago reveals special exhibitions
EXPO Chicago, The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, has announced 25 special exhibitions to be included in the fourth annual exposition Sept. 17-20 at Navy Pier.
The special exhibitions program will join 140 galleries representing 16 countries and 46 cities from around the world.
A few of the special exhibitions are ShopColumbia, Columbia College Chicago's student and alumni art boutique; Human Rights Watch, which will showcase six photographs by world-renowned photographer Sebastiao Salgado; and Union League Club of Chicago presenting a selection of works by female artists who have shaped art in Chicago.
