Third Rufus Wainwright show added at Winery

A third show featuring out singer Rufus Wainwright has been added to the slate at City Winery, 1200 W. Randolph St.

Wainwright will also perform Monday, May 4. Tickets are $80-$90 each; see www.CityWinery.com .

The May 5 and 6 shows are sold out, according to the website.

Wainwright has released seven studio albums and two live albums to date, including his Grammy-nominated Rufus Does Judy At Carnegie Hall!, which captured his Judy Garland tribute performance at the London Palladium in 2007.

Madonna in Chicago Sept. 28 at UC

Live Nation has officially listed the dates of Madonna's "Rebel Heart" world tour.

Opening night is slated for Aug. 29 in Miami. Other cities on the North America segment of the tour include New York, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Vancouver, Montreal and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Europe, she will perform in cities such as Prague; Koln, Germany; Barcelona; Stockholm, Sweden; London; and Glasgow, Scotland.

She will perform in Chicago Sept. 28 at the United Center.

The Grammy winner's current single, "Living For Love," has topped the Billboard Dance Charts—her 44th time at number one on this list.

Lake FX Summit + Expo April 16-19

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events ( DCASE ) announced that the Lake FX Summit + Expo—the region's largest free conference for artists, creative professionals and entrepreneurs—will have its inaugural run April 16-19.

The conference, which Google is presenting, will be headquartered at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St. Other participating venues in the downtown, walkable campus are the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park, the new Virgin Hotels Chicago, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, the Gene Siskel Film Center and Macy's on State Street. Evening showcase events programmed by CIMMfest and The Recording Academy Chicago Chapter will take place throughout neighborhoods such as Hyde Park, Pilsen, West Town, Logan Square and Uptown.

Some of the areas that will be explored include music, visual and performing arts, the culinary scene, film and fashion.

Cinema Q V Film Series through May

The free film series Cinema Q returns ( and celebrates five years ) with four film screenings Thursdays throughout May at 6:30 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St.

The movies slated to be shown are the documentary I Am Divine ( May 7 ); Violette ( May 14 ), about the personal life and work of bisexual French feminist writer Violette Leduc; Beautiful Boxer ( May 21 ), the true story of trans female kickboxer Parinya Charoenphol; and the 1971 film Death in Venice ( May 28 ).

The Queer Film Society ( QFS ) is presenting in partnership with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and in association with Chicago Filmmakers ( the presenting organization of Reeling: The Chicago LGBT International Film Festival ) and The Legacy Project.

SoFo presenting 'Deadly' exhibit

The SoFo Tap, 4923 N. Clark St., will present "The 7 Deadly Sins/The 7 Seven Heavenly Virtues," an art exhibition and silent charity auction featuring the collaborative works of neighborhood artists.

Working in conjunction with local design agency Rexmondo, the exhibit will highlight 14 artists' unique visions of the historical vices and virtues across several different artistic mediums.

The exhibition will open with a kick-off party on Thursday, April 2, 7-9 p.m., featuring cocktails, music, video and an opportunity to meet and greet the artists.

Frankie Knuckles movie to be filmed in Chicago

A new feature film, The Warehouse, will celebrate late house-music legend Frankie Knuckles and Chicago's Warehouse nightclub, where the internationally recognized musical genre was born.

Bob Teitel (Men of Honor, Barber Shop), Billy Dec (Rockit Ranch/Elston Films), Randy Crumpton (The Truth) and Joe Shanahan (Metro/Smartbar/Double Door) will produce the movie, which will be filmed in Chicago.

The producers will host a launch party and Frankie Knuckles Foundation (FKF) benefit at The Underground, 56 W. Illinois St., at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 (one year after Knuckles untimely passing).

Tickets start at $20 and include a two-hour cocktail-and-hors d'oeuvres reception at 6-8 p.m. Limited VIP tables are available. To purchase tickets, visit www.TheUndergroundChicago.com . All of ticket proceeds will benefit FKF.
