WC&F Indiegogo 'Perk Party' Nov. 11
Women & Children First, 5233 N. Clark St., will host an Indiegogo "Perk Party" on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m.
The fund aims to raise $35,000 for a storewide renovation that will include a dedicated event space and community area. (More than $20,000 have been raised.)
There will be readings by local Chicago authors, music courtesy of DJ Spinnikki, and a raffle of more than a dozen autographed hardcover books, including titles by Michael Pollan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

BETTY returns for holiday show

New York City pop/performance band BETTY returns to City Winery, 1200 W. Randolph St., for its annual "Holiday Show" Monday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m.
Friends since childhood and artistic co-conspirators, Amy Ziff ( vocals, cello, piano ), Elizabeth Ziff ( vocals, guitar, programming ) and Alyson Palmer ( vocals, bass, percussion, programming ) have been recording, touring, performing and creating together as independent artists for 27 years.
In addition to television, film, Off-Broadway theater and concert tours, BETTY travels the world as arts envoys for the U.S. State Department, performing humanitarian outreach and cultural diplomacy.

New Freddie Mercury songs in 'Queen Forever'
Three previously unreleased Queen tracks featuring late singer Freddie Mercury spearhead a new Queen album, Queen Forever, out Tuesday, Nov. 11, on Hollywood Records.
The tracks include a song from Queen and Michael Jackson, "There Must Be More to Life Than This;" a previously unfinished Mercury-Queen track "Let Me In Your Heart Again;" and a new stripped-down ballad version of Mercury's first solo hit, his Giorgio Moroder collaboration "Love Kills." Among the other songs are "Somebody to Love," "Who Wants To Live Forever" and "Bijou."
Queen Forever will be available as a 20-track single CD and as an extended 36-track, two-CD set.
