Patricia Racette in 'Humaine' Feb. 14
Chicago Opera Theater( COT ) continues its 2015-16 season with a double bill featuring Francis Poulenc's La Voix Humaine and Giacomo Puccini's Gianni Schicchi at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph St., on Feb. 14 ( at 3 p.m. ).
The evening of one-act operas begins with "Humaine," starring soprano Patricia Racette as Elle in her COT debut. Racette has garnered particular acclaim for her portrayals of the title roles of Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Jenufa, Katya Kabanova and all three lead soprano roles in Il Trittico.

Gallery to host sexual-assault exhibit
The Awakenings Foundationthe home of the only known collection of rape-survivor artworkhas announced its first curated exhibit, "Graphic Relief," which will feature international comic book, graphic novel and zine media artists who deal with the topic of street harassment.
Artists are welcome to submit, regardless of survivor identity, as long as works speak to the topic.
The Awakenings Foundation exists to help survivors of sexual assault heal through the creative arts. This exhibit will open up our mission to a wider community of artists and patrons by tackling the epidemic of street harassment and catcalling, which has been thrust into a spotlight in recent digital and social media.

Trans exhibit at Columbia College through Feb. 13
Columbia College Chicago's Glass Curtain Gallery, 1104 S. Wabash Ave., presents "Bring Your Own Body: transgender between archives and aesthetics," which is open through Feb. 13. Jeanne Vaccaro and Stamatina Gregory are the curators, with Cooper Union organizing.
Taking its title from an unpublished manuscript by intersex pioneer Lynn Harris, the exhibit historicizes the sexological and cultural imaginary of transgender through a curatorial exploration of historical collections, including the Kinsey Archives.
