Adam Lambert to release CD June 16
Out singer/songwriter Adam Lambert will release his third studio album, The Original High, on Tuesday, June 16, through Warner Bros. Records.
The album was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden, and Los Angeles with Max Martin and Shellback (Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Pink, etc.) as executive producers.
Among the 14 tracks are "Ghost Town," (the first single) "Underground," "Heavy Fire" and "Evil in the Night." Three songs"After Hours," "Shame" and "These Boys"will only be available on the deluxe edition of the CD.
Lambert is set to make a number of national television appearances in support of The Original High, starting with the Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 30.

Chicago Artists Chorale has May 19 concert
The Chicago Artists Choralea new group of more than 50 members from the area's professional arts communitywill present the second concert of its inaugural season on May 19 at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave., at 7:30 p.m.
The first portion of the concert will focus on composers from the British Isles, with songs by British composers Ralph Vaughan Williams and John Rutter as well as Irish composer Charles Stanford. The second portion will highlight the importance of U.S. ensemble singing through each decade from 1940 to 2015.

Moreno speaking at NEIU commencement
Award-winning actress Rita Moreno will be the speaker for Northeastern Illinois University's spring commencement ceremony on Monday, May 11.
The event will take place at the UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave., at 4 p.m.
Moreno belongs to an elite group of performers, having won each of the entertainment industry's most prestigious awards: the Oscar, the Emmy, the Tony and the Grammy. In 2014, she became the 50th recipient of the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.
During the commencement ceremony, Moreno will be awarded a Northeastern Illinois University honorary doctorate degree in recognition of her achievements.
Backstreet Boys movie out May 13
The movie Backstreet Boys: Show 'Em What You're Made Of will be in select theaters Wed., May 13, 1t 7 p.m.
The film will look into the lives of the boy band's members as well as offer an acoustic performance of songs such as "As Long As You Love Me," "Show 'Em ( What You're Made Of )" and "I Want It That Way."

Dar Williams' 'Emerald' out May 12
Singer Dar Williams will release Emerald on Tuesday, May 12.
The album will feature collaborations with friends such as Jill Sobule, Richard Thompson, Jim Lauderdale, the Milk Carton Kids, the Hooters, Lucy Wainwright Roche and mother Suzzy Roche, among others.
Raised in Chappaqua, New York, Williams spent 10 years living in the thriving artistic community of Northampton, Massachusetts, where she began to make the rounds on the coffee-house circuit. Joan Baez, an early fan of her music, took Williams out on the road and recorded several of her songs.
