'Human First' at The Geraghty on April 2
Center on Halsted will hold its annual Human First gala on Saturday, April 2, at The Geraghty, 2520 S. Hoyne St. The black-tie-optional event will have cocktails and a reception at 5:30 p.m., with awards, dinner and dancing at 7:30 p.m.
This year, the Center will be presenting Human First Awards to Denise Foy, Michael McRaith and Lori Healey and the Community Spirit award to AT&T for collective contributions to the advancement of Chicago's LGBTQ movement.

'Flash' at Dance Center of Columbia in March, April
The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, 1306 S. Michigan Ave., will present "Rennie Harris and Michael Sakamoto: Flash" March 31-April 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Written, choreographed and performed by Harris and Sakamoto, Flash is conceived as a "conversation" between the artists' respective aesthetics ( hip hop and butoh ), cultural backgrounds ( African-American and Japanese-American ) and personalities.

Big Noise's 'Cabaret' April 22-May 8
Big Noise Theatre Company, a division of Winnetka Theatre, continues its 2016 season with the musical play Cabaret.
Cabaret will be performed at the Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 E. Thacker St., Des Plaines, from April 22 through May 8.
