CHICAGO ( April 14, 2016 ) - This weekend, Andersonville's Clark Street welcomes spring with the Second Annual Andersonville Flower Show. An event unique to the neighborhood, participating home and design shops display vintage and floral furniture and decor in the forefront of their shops and windows.
Founded by the owners of Mercantile M, Mark McKee and Sherman Trombley, the Andersonville Flower Show was conceived to unite the home and design businesses along Clark Street, as Andersonville continues to position itself as a destination for home interior shopping.
"Come down to see why we get so excited about this event," said Trombley. "Everyone is full of energy and excited for the spring season to start. It's quite infectious!"
Participating home and design businesses include:
— Andersonville Antiques
— Brownstone
— Good Deal Garage
— Mercantile M
— Murray & White
— Room Service
— Roost
— Scout
— Ya Ya's Antiques
"It's a nice idea to welcome spring and fill the streets with beautiful floral displays," said first time participant Murray & White co-owner JT Murray. His shop plans to offer outdoor planters, vases, floral wall art, and garden statuary at 25-40% off, along with displaying fresh cut floral arrangements.
