Antioch, IL - Wendy Wasserstein's first play, considered an extraordinary debut, Uncommon Women and Others, will be opening at PM&L Theatre on January 29th and will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for three weeks.
Uncommon Women and Others is a dramatic comedy telling the story of alumnae from Mount Holyoke College meeting for lunch in 1978 to talk about their experiences, some raunchy, others sobering. Regina Reynolds ( previous PM&L directing credits include Censored on Final Approach and Once Upon a Mattress ) directs. Other memorable works by noted 20th century playwright Wendy Wasserstein include The Heidi Chronicles and The Sisters Rosensweig.
Because of adult content and language, the show is recommended for audiences aged 16 and up.
Uncommon Women and Others will run Fridays, January 29th, February 5th and 12th, at 8:00 pm; Saturdays, January 30th, February 6th and 13th at 8:00 pm; and Sundays, January 31st, February 7th and 14th, at 2:30 pm. Tickets are available online at www.pmltheatre.com and are $15.00 for adults and $13.00 for seniors and students. To reserve your tickets directly through our box office, please call 847-395-3055. The box office is open Monday through Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm; and one and a half hours before curtain on show dates. The box office will open on January 18th.
