U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly ( D-Illinois ) recently met with Queer Eye co-host Jonathan Van Ness, who was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois.
Among other things, the two discussed the Equality Act, FAMILY Act, voting rights and PrEP access. Grayson Alexander, a recent Windy City Times 30 Under 30 honoree, was also there.
Van Ness has been in the news recently for coming out as HIV-positive. He stopped by Chicago's Music Box Theatre Sept. 28, and has a new memoir, Over the Top: A Raw Journey to Self-Love.
