Campus Pride has reviewed more than 300 colleges and universities, according to LGBT friendliness, the Huffington Post reported. More than two dozen factors were taken into consideration, including course offerings, housing and policies.
Twenty-eight schools received a top rating of five stars, including the Ohio State University, Stanford University, Indiana University, Dartmouth College, Princeton University and the University of Chicago.
Among other Illinois schools that were evaluated were Aurora University (Aurora, Ill.; three stars), Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (Carbondale; 4.5 stars), Adler School of Professional Psychology (Chicago; two entries of 2.5 and three stars), Columbia College (Chicago; four stars), DePaul University (Chicago; 3.5 stars), Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago; 2.5 stars), Northwestern University (Evanston; four stars) Roosevelt University (Chicago; 3.5 stars), Roosevelt University-Chicago campus (Chicago; 4.5 stars) and the University of Illinois at Chicago (Chicago; 4.5 stars).
