CHICAGO—Trikone Chicago is hosting its bi-monthly Bollywood dance party on Friday, Aug. 19, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Big Chicks Bar, 5024 North Sheridan Rd. This event, which features South Asian dance music and performances, is open to all; attendees are encouraged to invite friends and family. The venue will have all-gender restrooms and nametags for pronouns.

A suggested $5 donation will go toward helping Trikone Chicago raise funds to support programs for the South Asian LGBTQI community in Chicago.

TRIKONE CHICAGO is a not-for-profit organization that provides safe social spaces and serves as a peer-support network for queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming individuals of South Asian/Desi heritage in the Chicagoland area. Trikone Chicago hosts a range of open public events and social gatherings that foster a sense of community and promote an understanding of intersectional identities.
