Chicago House is launching its fourth TransWorks Mentorship Program this fall, beginning Wed., Nov. 15.
The purpose of the program is to facilitate supportive and positive relationships between trans* individuals in order to build community, increase life skills and create leadership opportunities.
TransWorks is seeking transgender identified individuals to participate in the six month program as mentors. Mentor applicants must have been employed for at least six months by October, and must commit to meeting with the group and with their mentee once a month for six months, a total of three hours per month.
The program will take place the third Wednesday of every month ( 6:30-8:30 p.m. ) from Nov. 15, 2017, until April 15, 2018.
