Spotlight on Too Much Light
The Neo-Futurists Andersonville home known as The Neo-Futurarium isn't exactly accessible to those with mobility issues. So as a way to make up for that, The Neo-Futurists offer its second-ever "Neo-Access" performance of its long-running flagship show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind at the Biograph Theater operated by Victory Gardens Theater.
The American with Disabilities Act-friendly event utilizes a touch tour for the blind, audio description headsets, closed-captioning, American Sign Language interpreters, and Braille and large-print programs. The special-access performance of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind plays at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. Tickets are $4 plus the roll of a six-sided die ( $5-$10 ); call 872-222-9555 or visit www.neofuturists.org more information.

Mosque Alert, Silk Road Rising, through May 15. This world premiere set in Naperville touches on Islamophobia, Islamic homophobia, assimilationist Islam and, indirectly, attitudes expressed by Presidential candidates. It's timely, important and well-done. JA
Sender, A Red Orchid, through May 29. In Ike Holter's new comedy, four millennials must decide whether to be adults or fall under a charming slacker's spell. It's a little short on substance but the characters are sharply-drawn and Holter's comic riffs are potent. JA
