The world isn't the same place than it was in 1978. For George, who lived his life in the closet, and his nephew, Chris, who is free and open with his sexuality, their Chicago's are vastly different.
In a play that moves between 1978 and 2008, George and Chris must learn from each other what it means to be honest, and the true price of hiding your heart to save your life. Both George and Chris are confronted with the rewards and consequences of secrecy, sacrifice and self-acceptance. Part tragedy, part comedy, part surreal conversation, "The 30 Year Gap" explores the effects of a changing political landscape on the inner lives of two men who have much more in common than they know.
"The 30 Year Gap" is written by Matthew Johnston, directed by Stuart Scotten and stars Warren Dailey, Cody Dericks, Gavin Donnellan, Waren Jay, Cordaro Johnson, Kat Moranos, Jim Schol and Nathan Speckman. The show opens on April 7th and runs on Thursdays at 8pm until April 28th. Runtime: 70 min, one intermission. Tickets: $10. Website: http://pubhousetheatre.com/the-30-year-gap
