Let me just get one thing off my chest right quick, in case there is any scuttlebutt.
I posted on my personal Facebook page last weekend about a disturbing comment made during a fundraiser I was covering and I swore I would not divulge the location or the speaker of the comment, in hopes that the offending party would see it, and we would all move forward. I am glad to say that I had a deep conversation with someone involved and all has been made good. However, it occurs to me that I could not run the photos from the event, as it may encourage speculation. So if you came a-diggin', please know that none of the fundraising events whose photos in this issue are credited to me ( and there are a few ) are the event about which I was talking. Those super hot photos will just have to remain secret.
Anyway, the only thing that offended me when I covered the annual Leather Eye For the Preppy Guy contest at Touche was that I felt like puking my guts out. I swore to David and to Eric at Leather 64TEN that I would stay and shoot for as long as I could. Turns out the sexiness of the contest superceded my upset tummy, because I covered it from top to bottom. To bottom. To bottttttttom. Get to the bottom of the event on page 17 and see the expanded album on our Facebook page.
Lady Bunny was her usual dirty bitch self at the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus Big Package Auction fundraiser at Sidetrack. I shot a video and decided not to break the internet by posting it. See me in person and I'll play it for you on my phone. Man, those packages were big. And by big, I mean money-wise. I hope CGMC met their $50,000 fundraising goal. This poor photog could only donate his time.
The nerds were en fuego at the Geeks Out: Gay of Thrones party at Berlin, in celebration of C2E2 ( which I'm not sure what that means, but I've been playing along all week so as to retain my nerd cred ). Hot superheroes as far as the eye could see, which wasn't very far, packed as it was with adora-geeks.
Big ups to Trikone Chicago and another sexy Jai Ho! throwdown at Big Chicks, this time celebrating Erotica. See the full-pager on 30 for a slice. Every year I get amazing shots of that one. Could there be a cover in his future?
