Chicago, IL - June is Pride month, and 2019 marks the 50th year that queer people across the world collectively celebrate community since the Stonewall Riots of New York City created a revolution of civil rights for LGBTQIA+ people.
Artist duo and production company, TRQPITECA, presents Queer Pride Chicago 2019 in affiliation with
the Chicago Park District's "Night Out in the Parks" series. TRQPITECA also intersects with community partners such as organizations like KeepingitLITE.org , a study about the life and health of LGBTQ youth. Since 2015, the duo and founders of TRQPiTECA La Spacer and Cqqchifruit have created space for queer and underground art and dance music culture to thrive not just in Chicago but throughout the midwest, Miami, and internationally.
The event takes place Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 3 p.m.-10 p.m. at Ping Tom Memorial Park, Chicago between the Pagoda and directly under the 18th street bridge. Enter at park entrance at the intersection of W. 19th St and S. Wells.
