Not everyone has time to see a six-hour theater marathon. But if you do, be sure not to miss Chicago Shakespeare Theater's massive undertaking called Tug of War: Foreign Fire. The first part is director/adaptor Barbara Gaines' take on the plays Edward III, Henry V and Henry VI, Part 1 staged this spring. Then in the fall, Tug of War continues with the heading of Civil Strife as Henry VI, Parts 2 and 3 and Richard III are combined and adapted for another dramatic historical theater marathon.
Tug of War: Foreign Fire continues through Sunday, June 12, at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, 800 E. Grand Ave. Tickets start at $85 for both parts of Tug of War, or starting at $100 for a single part; call 312-595-5600 or visit www.chicagoshakes.com/tugofwar.
