Chicago, IL, 12/11 -- The Stonewall Democrats of Illinois ( SDI ) today announced its endorsement of candidates for state, federal and county offices.
SDI is the only state-wide grassroots organization focused on electing LGBT and issues-friendly candidates to public office.
"Some of these candidates are openly gay or lesbian, while others are our allies," said
Andy Shapero of SDI. "What they have in common is that they not only support equality for LGBT citizens, but have expressed a firm commitment to fight for issues so important to the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgendered community."

The Mission of the Stonewall Democrats of Illinois is to:
* defend and promote the rights of Illinois' LGBT citizens
