Steve Grand to headline 5th Annual LGBT Military Leadership Conference

( Washington, DC ) — Today OutServe-SLDN is pleased to announce that Steve Grand will headline OutServe-SLDN's 5th Annual LGBT Military Leadership Conference.
Last September, Grand made headlines when he accompanied Sgt. Tanner White to the Marine Corps Ball.
Matt Thorn, Executive Director for OutServe-SLDN stated: "We are delighted that Steve Grand will be joining us for our 5th Annual LGBT Military Leadership Conference. Steve has a deep appreciation for our country's service members and veterans and we are thrilled he will be performing for them at the conference. This is an opportunity for us to give back to our attendees, who are mostly active duty and veterans, through an enjoyable evening of music from a dynamic singer and songwriter."
In addition to Mr. Grand headlining a performance for the conference OutServe-SLDN is pleased to welcome several distinguished panelists including Aisha Moodie-Mills, President & CEO of Victory Fund & Institue; Beth Shipp, Executive Director of LPAC; Gregory Angelo, Executive Director of the Log Cabin Republicans; Sarah McBride, Center for American Progress; Paula Neira, MSN, RN, CEN, Esq ( LT. USN/USNR 1985-1991 ); Major Laura Perry; Sasha Buchert, Staff Attorney Transgender Law Center and Peter Perkowski, General Counsel for OutServe-SLDN to name a few.
The 5th Annual LGBT Military Leadership Conference is an opportunity to join other active-duty service members and veterans, advocates, government officials, community organizations, businesses and experts for a three-day discussion on issues, concerns and future planning for the LGBT military community.
The conference will be held in Washington, DC from May 19 - 22nd, attendees will experience three days of training, skills building, networking and discussion of key issues facing the LGBT service members, veterans and their families.
