State worker behind disruptive emails to retire
by Matt Simonette

Frank Capuzi—a state-employed Workers' Compensation Commission investigator whose emails contained a number of anti-gay, anti-Muslim and racist comments that were widely circulated amongst city water-department officials—will be retiring, the Chicago Tribune reported July 28.

Earlier in July, the Tribune reported on the emails, which, though sent from Capuzi's personal email account, nevertheless led to a number of oustings in the water department.

State officials said that Capuzi retired of his own volition, but that the investigation into the emails would continue nonetheless.

Chicago Tribune's article is at trib.in/2u9pONp .
