Embattled actor Jussie Smollett wants the lawsuit that the City of Chicago filed against him moved from state court to federal court, The Chicago Tribune noted.

The city sued the actor in April for $130,000—the cost of investigating his allegations that he was a victim of a racist and anti-gay attack in downtown Chicago. Prosecutors dismissed charges against the now-former Empire actor related to making a false report.

The Tribune article is at www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-nw-jussie-smollett-federal-court-20190704-ogky5jgvfjcp7jwovncr4roftq-story.html.
