Woodson Library Oct. 11.
Emceed by Real T. Luthofthemidwest Davinci, also known as Kirk Sanders, the free event featured performances from local talent including Tony Jones, Tony Gilly, Tim'm T. West, Nhojj, Jennifer Patience Rowe, Prinze Cartea and King Scandocious Jr.
Marc Loveless, executive director of FJCR, noted that while he did wanted guests to enjoy the concert, he also wanted people to walk away with a better sense of community.
"I want people to gain an appreciation for the talents in our community and then to know that they have a right to be whoever they are wherever they are," he said. Text and photos by Terrence Chappell
