October marked the opening of the newest art gallery in Pilsen. 4Art, Inc. is a gay-owned gallery displaying fine art, as well as a unique, service-based business offering a wide selection of services geared towards emerging and established artists. 4Art specializes in custom framing, graphic design/digital imaging, and fine art classes. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Classes are designed to give new artists the basic skills they desire, as well as give more advanced artists the opportunity to experiment with styles and media they are unfamiliar with. The two fall classes being offered are Venetian Style Oil Painting and Charcoal Rendering.
4Art is also proud to announce Chicago artist Ned Broderick, Marine Corp Vet and a founder of the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum in Chicago, as a featured artist, along with Bruno Surdo, founder of the School of the Representational Art in Chicago and Professor at the Illinois Institute of Art, in the first show.
"4Art, Inc. promotes art that represents a balance between concept and aesthetics, portraying both meaning and beauty. We are open to any kind of media, new or old, from painting to digital video, photography and performance art," said Co-Owner and Gallery Director Jerod Schmidt.
