"Scrooge & Marley" is a modern day variation on Charles Dickens' classic story of the holidays, "A Christmas Carol." Recounted from a gay sensibility, with heart, comedy and music, the magic of Dickens' timeless tale of a man's redemption at the holidaysthanks to the help of three ghostly spiritscomes alive from a fresh perspective that will appeal to audiences of every persuasion.
The film will be shown on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 69 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center, Claudia Cassidy Theater, 2nd Floor North. Admission is free.
The film stars David Pevsner as Ebenezer Scrooge and Tim Kazurinsky as Jacob Marley's ghost plus Rusty Schwimmer, Bruce Vilanch, Megan Cavanagh and JoJo Baby and is narrated by Judith Light. It wss directed by Richard Knight, Jr. and Peter Neville.
