Happy Valentine's Day! Considering that this is the month of love, relationships and, for some, major heartbreaks and disappointments, I felt that this was the perfect month to release my new e-Book entitled, The 5 Phases of Dating ... Without Losing Sight of Your Purrfectly Authentic Self. In this book, you will find my thoughts on the realities of dating broken down into what I consider to be 5 Well-Defined Phases.

Are you tired of following the same old patterns in dating? Can you fight the urge for immediate gratification? Wouldn't you like to go into your next relationship emotionally healthy and speaking from your Purrfectly Authentic Voice? Well, this is the book for you! In this book, I will assist you in identifying your true wants, needs and desires and then walk you through the 5 Phases that we all should go through on our journey of finding our life's partner.

Are you prepared for this month's expectations? You know, the expectation that each of us feels obligated to fulfill surrounding one of the biggest 'relationship' holidays throughout the year—Valentine's Day. Do you feel pressured to out-do the present you purchased last year? Are you competing with your friends as to who gives the best gifts? Are you waiting to measure the value of what you mean to your loved one by the size of the price tag of the gift they purchase for you?

Or could it be that you are just beginning to date someone and you are questioning whether or not the expectation applies to you? How much do you spend? What is appropriate and not appropriate in terms of gifts? Do you even have to buy one? These are only a small sample of the questions that will be addressed in this e-Book, according to my interpretation.

The information that I share with you will be from a collection of personal experiences, mine and those of the women that I have coached and presented to in workshops. Disclaimer: This book will not be the answer to ALL of your questions. I put this book together to provide you with information and foresight that will definitely open your mind and start you thinking. Whether you find it helpful and insightful for your dating situations to come or a book that you feel you want to sit down with a cup of coffee and pick apart, I can guarantee you that you will not put it down without having some sort of reaction.

For some, it will be hard to swallow, as I will bypass the façade that most of us live by and go straight for the secrets we hide that we really don't want to reveal to others and that's OK. Hate me if you will, but you will not walk away without having formed some sort of opinion ... about which I would love to hear when you are done reading it.

The phases are as follows: Friendship; Dating ( Non-committed ) ; Committed Relationship; Engagement and Marriage. With each step, I will help you to identify those areas in which you are not being true to yourself and things of which you should be aware, as well as point out the countless choices that we make that undermine our true desires and intentions. This e-Book will be available just in time for Valentine's Day of 2005. It will be a Purrfect gift for you, a friend or a loved one who could also benefit from unraveling the dating ritual.

Throughout the year, I will hold several discussion groups about the book at various locations that I will announce in the newsletters and on my Web site, and I would welcome your attendance and participation. The more aware we are of the hidden causes and factors behind the demise of our relationships, the better able we are to make the adjustments necessary to obtain the love that we want—whether that adjustment is a major life change or simply a recognition of who we really are inside and what we truly want, coupled with the acceptance of our Purrfectly Authentic selves.

How about giving yourself the present of beginning a relationship with the REAL you; the you that has decided to hide from others for fear of ridicule, shame, disappointment, etc. Aren't you worth it ... .

Senegal's gays fight

for AIDS money

The Senegal gay group MSM ( men who have sex with men ) is fighting an uphill battle to get money from the National Council to Fight AIDS, the U.N.'s Integrated Regional Information Networks reported Jan. 12.

Senegal is considered to be devoutly Muslim and homosexuality is illegal.

The group has asked for about $73,000 to educate gays and assist people with HIV.

'We want to be able to train people and go to the homes of people living with AIDS who are suffering and who often are not informed about treatment,' an MSM leader told the U.N. news service, asking not to be identified by name. 'The situation is extremely serious within the community.'

Senegal has received about $74 million in AIDS funding this year from the World Bank, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and other donors.

The MSM group has about 400 members. Senegal has a population of around 10 million.
