In a new interview with WWD, Madonna talked about her MDNA Skin lineup—and confirmed that a new album of music is on the way, NewNowNext.com reported. "I'm finishing my record, which I'm going to release next year," she said. "Yep, in between rose mist spray and serums, I'm actually making music. Can't quit my day job." She has been working on some new tunes with "disco god" Mirwais, who produced her 2003 album, American Life.

Doom Patrol star Brendan Fraser told an audience at New York Comic-Con that Matt Bomer is joining the cast as the voice of Negative Man, TheWrap.com noted. Per the official description from studio Warner Bros TV, Doom Patrol is a reimagining of one of DC's strangest group of outcasts: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane. Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder, they're called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg.

Freestyle Digital Media and Voltaire Media have released the official trailer and poster for Reach, which will be released in theaters by Voltaire Media and on DigitalHD by Freestyle Digital Media day-and-date on Oct. 19, a press release noted. Reach stars Garrett Clayton ( Disney's Teen Beach Movies; Hairspray Live! ), Jordan Doww ( HollyWEIRD ), Joey Bragg ( Father of the Year, Disney's Liv and Maddie ) and Johnny James Fiore in a movie about bullying and suicide.

Singer/actress Janelle Monae is joining the voice cast of Disney's upcoming reboot of Lady And The Tramp, Deadline noted. Monae will voice the role of Peg, the wise-cracking friend of Lady, who is being played by Monae's close friend Tessa Thompson. Justin Theroux is voicing Tramp, while additional casting includes Thomas Mann, Kiersey Clemons, Benedict Wong, Ashley Jensen and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Megan Mullally wasn't very happy with the person( s ) operating the official Will & Grace Twitter account on Oct. 6—the same day Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court, Out.com noted. After the Will & Grace Twitter account tweeted a GIF of Jack McFarland falling, Mullally, who plays Karen Walker on the hit NBC sitcom, responded: "maybe take a moment of silence today for the lgbtqqia community, people of color, and women instead of posting pratfalls." The first tweet has since been deleted.

Janet Jackson is one of 15 nominees included on the short list for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2019, E! Online noted. Others in consideration include Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Todd Rundgren, Rufus feat. Chaka Khan and The Zombies. This is Jackson's third nomination, following recommendations in 2016 and 2017. The induction ceremony will be held March 29, 2019, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Billboard reported.

Amazon is developing a #MeToo-themed college comedy from Whitney Cummings and Lee Daniels, TheWrap.com reported. The comedy revolves around the staff of the ombudsman's office at a college that navigates PC culture and the #MeToo climate. This would mark the first TV staring role for Cummings since her NBC comedy Whitney, which she also created and executive produced.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power—a reboot based on the hugely popular 1980s spinoff character from the Masters of the Universe franchise—is set to include at least two LGBT characters, PinkNews reported. At the New York Comic Con, actress Aimee Carrero, who plays Adora AKA She-Ra, said her favorite characters on the reboot are "Bow's dads"—which apparently was supposed to be a secret.

After more than a year of fighting FX and Ryan Murphy over her depiction in Feud, Olivia de Havilland has kept her word and is taking her case to the Supreme Court, Deadline.com reported. "We must persevere and speak truth to power," the 102-year-old two-time Oscar winner said as her attorneys petitioned the court in the ongoing legal battle. "The fight is itself important to the principle of honesty, so much in need today in the face of deliberate public confusion for selfish agendas," she added in a statement from her Paris home.

In time for National Coming Out Day ( Oct. 11 ), queer streaming network Revry is debuting its original docuseries Room to Grow, which chronicles the lives and stories of LGBTQ+ teens and families in cities across North America, a press release noted. The co-directors/producers are Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, filmmaker and LGBTQ+ youth educator Matt Alber and musician and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Jon Garcia.

Captain America star Chris Evans is joining Daniel Craig in Rian Johnson's murder mystery movie Knives Out, Deadline noted. Plot details on the film are largely being kept under wraps but the pic will likely shoot this year, meaning Craig will shoot it before Bond 25. It is understood to be a modern day murder mystery in the classic whodunit style.

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical—the West End musical based on the life of the legendary "What's Love Got To Do With It" singer—will arrive on Broadway next fall, Deadline noted. Tina, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, had its world premiere in April 2018 at London's Aldwych Theatre ( starring Adrienne Warren ), where it is still playing to sold-out houses. A new booking period through July 2019 was recently announced, and another production will open in Hamburg, Germany, sometime next year.

Chance the Rapper ( real name: Chancelor Bennett ) announced that he is donating $1 million to improve mental health services in his hometown of Chicago, The Huffington Post noted. Chance said he will give six mental-health providers in the area $100,000 via his charity, SocialWorks. In addition, his new initiative, "My State of Mind," aims to connect people with treatment, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. ( He didn't specify how the remaining $400,000 would be spent. ) Grant applications will be accepted starting in January.

Ariana Grande's break from the spotlight could end sooner than expected, Page Six noted. Nearly a month after it was announced the songstress will be taking time away to "heal and mend" following a rocky several years, she's now slated to take the stage at The Chelsea on Saturday, Dec. 29. In September, her rep announced she would not be attending the Emmy Awards; the announcement also came just 10 days after her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller suddenly passed away.

DJ Deadmau5 found himself in rough waters as various comments severely angered the LGBT community, who accused him of transphobic tweets, YourEDM.com noted. The various comments were accused of being both homophobic and transphobic. The DJ later apologized, tweeting, "i wasnt trying to make blatant transphobic statements, just got into a heated arguement with some dude online said something dumb and the internet took it way into somewhere unintended. I've since deleted the tweets, im not that kind of person. my apologies."

Beyonce and Jay-Z are officially done touring for the year, Just Jared noted. The music superstars completed their critically acclaimed OTR II European and North American stadium tour in Seattle recently, after a four-month run of summer and fall shows. Beyonce is set to perform at the 2018 City of Hope Gala on Oct. 11 in Los Angeles, marking her first solo performance after the On the Run II Stadium Tour.

Bette Midler has apologized for a tweet that was racially insensitive, LGBTQ Nation reported. "Women, are the n-word of the world," she said in a now-deleted tweet. "Raped, beaten, enslaved, married off, worked like dumb animals; denied education and inheritance; enduring the pain and danger of childbirth and life IN SILENCE for THOUSANDS of years They are the most disrespected creatures on earth." The phrase comes from a 1972 song by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, but people told Midler on why the phrase is offensive now.

Busy Philipps writes in her new book, This Will Only Hurt a Little, that James Franco was a "f—king bully" on the set of "Freaks and Geeks," detailing a time that he allegedly pushed her to the ground, Page Six reported. She wrote in her book, which was obtained by Page Six, that "James was full of bad behavior, so why would this [incident] be treated any differently." Apatow called her that night and said they were going to talk to James and they would force him to apologize to her, but she notes it was "barely a slap on the wrist" and attributes the lack of discipline to the "boys' club."

Onetime supermodel Janice Dickinson has come up empty in her bid to sue Ryan Seacrest Enterprises and NBC Universal over her appearance on the Bravo reality show Shahs of Sunset, TheWrap.com reported. Dickinson said in her suit that she regularly appeared as a runway model for designer Erik Rosette during Los Angeles Fashion Week for free—but added in the complaint that Rosette knew that she wouldn't appear pro bono if the designer was "planning to exploit Dickinson's celebrity without her consent." However, federal judge George H. Wu said in court papers that she can file an amended complaint by Oct. 24.

Gay Indian comic Nik Dodani has made an impression as the new IT and social-media guru on the Murphy Brown TV reboot, LGBTQ Nation noted. Dodani recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and joked with the audience about being gay and Indian, and how the two connect.

Armie Hammer has been set as a lead in Death on the Nile, 20th Century Fox's follow-up to last year's successful Agatha Christie adaptation Murder on the Orient Express, Deadline reported. Hammer—next up in the December release of Focus Features' Ruth Bader Ginsberg biopic On the Basis of Sex, with Felicity Jones—now joins Gal Gadot in Nile.

Laurie Metcalf and John Lithgow will return to Broadway next spring in Hillary and Clinton, a just-announced production by A Doll's House, Part 2 playwright Lucas Hnath, Deadline reported. Director Joe Mantello and producer Scott Rudin will go "behind closed doors" of the famous couple. Hillary and Clinton begins previews March 16, 2019, with an official opening night set for Thursday, April 18; the Broadway venue has yet to be announced.

Shameless star Cameron Monaghan ( who plays gay brother Ian ) announced that he is leaving the show after 10 years as a series regular, TheWrap.com noted. "The next episode will be my last," Monaghan wrote in an Instagram post. "I have known since last year, but I didn't want to give it away too early as I wanted this season to be a surprise for the audience, allowing them to experience Ian's unsure journey with his character." In August, star Emmy Rossum also revealed that season nine will be her last on the Showtime drama.

Riverdale fans will get a look inside Jughead's family dynamic in the show's third season with the addition of his mother and little sister, Gladys and Jellybean, played by Gena Gershon and Trinity Likins, respectively, TheWrap.com reported. Gladys and Jellybean will be front and center, as the mother-daughter con artist duo enter the picture Dec. 12 and shake things up a bit on a recurring basis.

Michael Darby has resumed filming The Real Housewives of Potomac after prosecutors have dropped sexual assault charges brought against him by a cameraman on the hit Bravo show, People reported. Court records showed that charges of felony assault and misdemeanor improper sexual conduct against Darby—which carried the potential of 11 years in jail and thousands of dollars in fines—had been dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, best known for starring on MTV's Jersey Shore, has been sentenced to eight months in prison for tax evasion, WGN-TV reported. He must also pay a fine of $10,000 within 30 days and complete 500 hours of community service. In January, Sorrentino pled guilty to tax evasion and concealing income, stemming from a 2014 indictment for falsifying business and personal tax returns between 2010 and 2012. Also, Sorrentino's brother, Marc, was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of $75,000.

The global hit film Mission: Impossible—Fallout will arrive on Digital Nov. 20, and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD Dec. 4 from Paramount Home Media Distribution, a press release noted. The movie will also be available as part of the Mission: Impossible six-movie Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Collection. Extras will include storyboards; commentary by director Christopher McQuarrie and lead actor Tom Cruise; a foot-chase musical breakdown; and more.

John Lennon's iconic 1971 album Imagine is being celebrated and intimately explored with a comprehensive box set, Imagine: The Ultimate Collection ( a remixed and remastered 140-track, six-disc box set ), two films ( Imagine and Gimme Some Truth ) and a lavish book titled Imagine John Yoko, personally compiled by Yoko Ono Lennon, a press release noted. The suite of releases coincided with what would have been the legendary artist's 78th birthday on Oct. 9.
