I hear he lives in L.A. too, so it's just a matter of time before we meet. Although I don't know if he's gay.… He's a brilliant skater, and he's also really handsome, and he seems like a really sweet guy, so I swoon when I see him."

Series author Stephenie Meyer was reportedly very happy about Condon being chosen.

Rosie O'Donnell is among those saying that actress Lindsay Lohan needs help. Lindsay Lohan needs a severe intervention," O'Donnell told Access Hollywood when it caught up with her on the set of the Lifetime original series Drop Dead Diva. The always-outspoken O'Donnell also said of celebrity culture, "It never ends, it keeps like cancer, It keeps dividing and multiplying. Kate Gosselin is suddenly a celebrity. She's Dancing with the Stars with a new face and new teeth and her eight children are at home. I don't know, it's out of control."

The National Youth Advocacy Coalition ( NYAC ) has accused the hit TV show GLEE of being transphobic. During the April 13 episode, Sue Sylvester ( portrayed by lesbian actress Jane Lynch ) used the word "she-male" to punish a non-gender-conforming student as she cut his ponytail. NYAC Executive Director Gregory Varnum, in a statement, said that even though " [ t ] he program has set an ambitious goal of showing youth that being different is okay ... I would like them to use their talents to come up with a way to portray Coach Sylvester's character that does not revolve around her use of racist, homophobic and transphobic commentary.
