Saturday, Sept. 20 Reeling Film Festival: The Chicago LGBT International Film Festival will take over Landmark's Century Centre Cinema ( 2828 N. Clark Street ) with screenings of multiple LGBT oriented films. These film screenings include LOVE SQUARED, QUEENS & COWBOYS: A STRAIGHT YEAR ON THE GAY RODEO, ANATOMY OF A LOVE SEEN, CLUB KING, and THE 10 YEAR PLAN. All films range between $10 and $12, and tickets are available in advance. Please see below for film times and descriptions.

LOVE SQUARED

3:00PM

These sexy, effervescent comedies poke fun at "gaysian" stereotypes, carnal appetites ( WOOF ), singlehood

( IF WE TOOK A HOLIDAY—don't miss the stellar Madonna impersonation! ), and even a genderneutral

birdsandthebees talk in SWADISTHANA.

Total 75 min.

GAYSIAN ( Austin Wong, Canada, 2013 )

IF WE TOOK A HOLIDAY ( Glenn Gaylord, US, 2014 )

WOOF ( Rich Yap, US, 2014 )

BARRIO BOY ( Dennis Shinners, US, 2014 )

SWADHISTHANA ( Joel Mahr, US, 2014 )

SQUARED ( Hieu Tran, US, 2014 )

QUEENS & COWBOYS: A STRAIGHT YEAR ON THE GAY RODEO

7:00PM

Matt Livadary ( US, 2014, 92 min )

QUEENS & COWBOYS chronicles a complete season of the International Gay Rodeo Association.

Unbeknownst to many, the IGRA has been providing an arena for competition for LGBT cowboys and cowgirls for three decades. Director Matt Livadary spent an entire year shooting hundreds of hours of footage, following fascinating cowboy Wade Earp ( a descendant of Wyatt Earp ) and Char Duran, a female bull rider, among other impassioned protagonists who live for the rodeo circuit. QUEENS & COWBOYS also delves into issues of discrimination against openly gay cowboys in the straight rodeo, the IGRA's heartening policy of making competitions genderinclusive, and how the larger rodeo community views the IGRA and homosexuality.

ANATOMY OF A LOVE SEEN

7:15PM

Marina Rice Bader ( US, 2014, 86 min )

This filmwithinafilm depicts the messiest of relationships: Zoe and Mal fell in love with each other while filming a love scene six months ago, but have since broken up. Now they have to reshoot

the love scene for a broadcast deal, and things could not be tenser on the movie set. Writer/director Marina Rice Bader ( producer of ELENA UNDONE ) brings us a lush, cinematic depiction of just how raw and messy true love can be. Zoe and Mal obviously still have feelings for each other, but can they set aside their emotional baggage and fears and admit that, with an entire crew watching? Even if they can't, how will they

successfully shoot this love scene?

CLUB KING

9:15PM

Jon Bush ( US, 2014, 70 min )

For the last 20 years, club kingpin Mario Diaz has been throwing the hottest, sexiest, and most fun parties in the LGBT nightlife scene from New York to LA. CLUB KING goes behind the scenes to find out what makes him tick and how he pulls off parties like Hot Dog and Full Frontal Disco. Personal reflections from Diaz himself illuminate his charismatic character, augmented by interviews with some of the hottest queens, go go boys, and stars of the scene, including Jackie Beat, as well as singer and trans activist Justin Vivian

Bond.

THE 10 YEAR PLAN

9:30PM

JC Calciano ( US, 2014, 90 min )

Myles, a successful lawyer and hopeless romantic, wants nothing more than to find the man of his dreams, but he comes on just a little strong and scares all his dates away. After yet another bad first date, Myles meets his best friend Brody, a handsome LA police officer, for drinks. Afraid of ending up old and alone, they make a pact: to be a couple in ten years if neither one has found love. Ten years later, nothing has changed.

Myles is still being dumped on a weekly basis and Brody is jumping from bed to bed, wearing out his Grindr app. Two months before Myles' 35th birthday, they both realize that their arrangement is almost due, so Brody desperately tries to set Myles up with anyone he can find, but that proves more complicated than either friend had imagined.

Reeling: The Chicago LGBT International Film Festival is the second longestrunning

film festival of its kind, and prides itself on showcasing the best LGBT films and videos each year.

From award winning international feature films to social documentaries to experimental shorts, Reeling has always presented a range of genres that demonstrate the rich diversity of work being produced. Not only has Reeling become one of the most important cultural events for Chicagoans, it also attracts LGBT people from throughout the Midwest who consider the festival to be the highlight of their cinematic year.
