NEQUA Studios is set to launch its much-awaited feature film, Promise Land, directed by Kevin Dalvi. The film stars a diverse cast, which includes Anita Chandwaney, Brenda Barrie, Elizabeth Abraham, Fawzia Mirza, Kamal Joseph Hans, Leena Kurishingal, Mouzam Makkar, Nikhil Bafna, Rahsaan Islam and Tim McCarthy. The screenplay is written by Kevin Dalvi, Etta Worthington and Faris Khan, and has a run time of 90 minutes.

Promise Land will open on April 20 with a glamorous red carpet premiere at AMC River East 21 in downtown Chicago. The event will be an evening chock-full of entertainment, with performances by local talent and an after-party at NV Penthouse Lounge, one of the hottest nightclubs in Chicago. It is hardly surprising that tickets are selling quickly for this exciting event.

The film is a light comedy and drama with immigration as the central theme. Its three stories effortlessly intertwine in a gripping tale of love, conflict, and hope. These compelling narratives reveal the unique challenges and triumphs of the characters as they struggle to pursue their dreams in a place they have come to call home.

Based on true stories, Promise Land provides a unique perspective of the South Asian experience in the United States, and an alternative view of the immigration issues faced by millions today.

Promise Land is one of the most anticipated South Asian films of 2012 and its red carpet Chicago premiere is expected to be an entertaining one-of-a-kind experience.

About NEQUA Studios: NEQUA Studios is a Film Production and Distribution Company dedicated to bringing new and exciting cinema to a global audience.
